Are you passionate about living in Vancouver and love public speaking? We are looking for extraordinary personalities to join our growing team! With our new Hop On, Hop Off tours launching in spring 2019, we require step-on guides available to work a flexible full-time schedule to provide engaging commentary on board our daily Hop On, Hop Off sightseeing tours.

A day in the life of a Landsea Step-On Guide:

  • Responsible for conducting safe, orderly and fun sightseeing tours (for up to 81 guests) around the city of Vancouver
  • Must be passionate, have integrity, be adaptable, bring some originality and be a team player
  • Be warm, friendly and welcoming to all guests and team members
  • Professionally handle guest queries and concerns
  • Helping guests board and disembark the coach in a safe and efficient manner
  • Substantial standing/walking required, including stairs
  • Efficiently keep to a scheduled itinerary with corresponding commentary provided
  • Maintain a clean and aesthetically pleasing appearance in accordance with company standards
  • Available to work a flexible, full time schedule including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays

All Step-On Guides will be cross-trained to provide relief coverage for Journey Ambassadors.

A day in the life of a Journey Ambassador:

  • Responsible for conducting sales for the Hop On, Hop Off tour and various attractions around the city
  • Assist guests with booking tours and attractions
  • Professionally handle guest queries and concerns
  • Accurately collect tour & attraction fares and complete corresponding paperwork
  • Enjoy working outdoors year-round


What you bring:

  • Strong knowledge of downtown Vancouver and surrounding areas
  • Public speaking experience
  • Previous experience in customer service is required
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Flexibility to accommodate a changing schedule
  • Excellent Leadership, Communication and Organizational skills
  • Administrative, Problem Solving and Time Management skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Fluent in English, written and oral (Ability to speak a second language is an asset)
  • Post-secondary training in tourism or hotel management is an asset
  • Previous tourism experience or knowledge of industry is an asset
