Need To Know
Your journey will start with a drive up to the town of Horseshoe Bay, located approximately 45 minutes outside of downtown Vancouver. Upon arrival, your guide will assist with getting you checked in for your one-hour Deep Fjord Zodiac Tour. Get ready to sail across the waters of Howe Sound in a zodiac-style boat. The skipper, both experienced and knowledgeable, will take you on the ride of a lifetime through the islands dotting the area, over to Pam Rocks to see the local sea lion population and more! You will make your way over to Britannia Beach, where your tour group awaits to continue the journey.
Your next stop will be at Shannon Falls Provincial Park to see British Columbia’s third-highest waterfall, aptly named Shannon Falls. The park has a fascinating history that you can learn about from boards located near the entrance!
Located on Mount Habrich, the Sea To Sky Gondola offers spectacular views of Howe Sound and the surrounding area. No words can accurately describe how breathtaking this area is. It is something that you will need to see in person.
Put your skills to the test by panning for gold – it isn’t as easy as you think it is. Travel back in time and learn about what life was like for miners. Various displays around the property and a train tour that takes you underground through an old tunnel all give an idea of the actual conditions and equipment used.
This tour is an excellent post-cruise option and for those that are flying out from the Vancouver International Airport (YVR). We can drop you and your luggage off after your tour for an additional fee.
Complimentary Hotel or Cruise Terminal Pick Up – Pick up from the Cruise Terminal, your downtown Vancouver or Richmond hotel and meet your tour guide. Ask about our luggage handling service.

Sea to Sky Gondola – Sitting at 853 m (2800 ft) above sea level on Mount Habrich, enjoy the sweeping views of luscious coastal forest and surrounding mountains. Test your nerve by crossing the SkyPilot Suspension Bridge or stick to the light hiking trails for viewpoints.
Britannia Mine Museum – All aboard as you venture by train into a former mine at this National Historic Site. Make time to watch BOOM!, an interactive show that brings Mill 3 back to life using a combination of lights, sounds, and animations. Explore the other exhibits at this experience, including panning for gold.
Stawamus Chief – As the world’s second-largest granite monolith, this single piece of rock towers over the Howe Sound at 700 m (2,297 feet).
Howe Sound – Howe Sound was formed millions of years ago by a retreating glacier, earthquakes, and through the process of creating the mountains that we see today.
Lions Gate Bridge – This Vancouver icon connects downtown Vancouver to the cities of North and West Vancouver. As you travel across, see if you can spot the two mountain peaks it was named after.
Hotel, Airport or Train Station Drop Off – Drop off available at your downtown Vancouver or Richmond hotel, Vancouver International Airport (YVR), VIA Rail or Rocky Mountaineer.

WHAT OUR GUESTS ARE SAYING
“Great Tour! Our guide shared a ton of information about Vancouver as we worked our way out of town towards the sights. We visited Horseshoe Bay, Shannon Falls, Britannia Mine, and the Sea to Sky Gondola. It was a great tour with something for everyone. That you Landsea Tours for a great time!”
Terry, Tempe, Arizona
“After a cruise to Alaska we booked a Landsea Tour for the day. We were collected from the cruise terminal by our guide Paula and went on a fabulous day trip. At the end of the day Paula also drove us to the airport (with our luggage). This solved 3 problems for us – storing the luggage, spending the day in Vancouver and getting to the airport. Thank you Landsea!”
Jose, Sydney, Australia
“Boy this company really knows how to run a tour! Our guide and driver was wonderful! She handled the traffic, us and the tour commentary with good humour and great local knowledge. A fun wide-ranging tour for all ages!”
